102 Years After the Caliphate: The Time is Now
102 years after the destruction of the Caliphate, we should take heed and not let this unique opportunity slip from our hands
When announcing the US attacks on Iran, Donald Trump made a statement, it was full of the usual rhetorical propaganda that comes out at this time.
Buried within the propaganda were three sentences that, stripped of their intent, contain an irony Trump himself will not have intended.
Now is the time to seize control of your destiny, and to unleash the prosperous and glorious future that is close within your reach. This is the moment for action. Do not let it pass.

Trump was obviously calling upon the Iranian people to overthrow their regime. The statement is typical of the western world, full of their false placement and positioning of moral custodians of the world, telling the uncivilised peoples how to act, who to overthrow and how to do it.
The Iranian people by and large have decided not to follow the advice of Trump and have not abandoned their leadership.
However, with the current world situation as it is, the events in Gaza over the last two and a half years, and what continues to happen now, have made one thing abundantly clear. The US and the West are not friends of the Muslims. And our leaders, by their inaction and complicity, have shown themselves to be nothing more than weak stooges.
Today marks 102 years since the abolishment of the Ottoman Caliphate on 3rd March 1924. In those 102 years, the events of the last few days have played out so many times before, Muslims being attacked and no one acts to stop it.
Although the Muslim world has grown in stature and wealth, just look at the Gulf nations, and although the Muslim world has grown in military might, just look at Turkey, and although we have grown in strategic capability, look at Pakistan’s military action against India. The Muslim world as an Ummah stands once again at the mercy of the Western world, who will target our children in Gaza and Tehran for their own political ends.
Our rulers will bemoan the attacks on their territory housing US bases, our armies will stand idly by or attack their own brothers in Afghanistan. Our historical bravery has been replaced with a simple desire to just survive. We have forgotten what honour is and have become comfortable in our own dishonour.
Pakistan, a nation built in the name of Islam to protect Muslims against the genocide of partition, the only Muslim nuclear power with a military might that stood up to India. Now uses its accumulated military might to attack their own brothers in Afghanistan on the orders of America. Not knowing that this might was always meant to be used to protect the weak and innocent like those in Palestine.
The Muslim rulers are now weak and they are realising that the western world will not save them unless it is in their own interest to do so. The Ummah is now looking for change, having watched a genocide unfold over the last two years. The western world is itself now drowning in economic, social and political turmoil. They cannot solve the problems of their own people, from poverty to drug abuse, let alone lecture the world on what is right and wrong.
International law, long used as an excuse for continuous inaction by Muslim governments and militaries, lies dead and buried. The United Nations and every other global body has lost the imagined moral high ground they always claimed to hold.
What remains is a broken world looking for true leadership, a leadership which puts the planet before profits, human life before arrogant belligerence and truth before lies.
Donald Trump and the western world through the genocide in Palestine, the Epstein files and the degradation of politics, has torn down the veil of western supremacy for all to see. To now look to that same west for our solutions would not be pragmatism. It would be naivety.
102 years after the destruction of the Caliphate, a single event which changed the history of the Muslim world, we should take heed and not let this unique opportunity slip from our hands. The call around the world should be for a Khilafah which will protect the Muslims, and not for a democratic system that allows paedophiles to wage war against innocent people at the behest of war criminals.
Those who have the power to do so such abandon western solutions and turn to Islam to save the world from western belligerence.
