"Death Death to the IDF" - Understanding the why behind the chant

Rather than call it hate speech the UK government needs to understand the why behind the chant.

Four words , one acronym, repeated five times in 14 seconds did more to get a reaction out of the UK government, then nearly two years of the killing of children, the rape of women and the genocide of a people ever did.

As Bob Vaynce stepped out onto the sun drenched Glastonbury stage “Free Free Palestine” he shouted with the crowd at Glastonbury joining in. The BBC who had decided to not air Kneecap live due to their ongoing pro-Palestine stance now had a problem.

Then he stopped and said “well have you heard this one” - just as BBC bosses were hoping Bob Vaynce would break into a rendition of Frank Sinatra’s “It had to be you” dedicated to Kier Starmer, he did the unspeakable.

“Death Death to the IDF” was the cry , and again and again. With the crowd joining in, to say the BBC were collectively having kittens at that point would be an understatement. They decided to keep broadcasting, a decision they later regretted.

Measured purely on artistic qualities as a chant it’s an 9.5 / 10.

It has rhythm, depth of meaning and passes a message.

You may not like it, but some think the Mona Lisa is just a painting of a slightly miffed woman, others view it as a piece of art. You can’t please everyone.

People were offended, most definitely they were. So much for the freedom of speech Muslims are told to abide by, don’t be so offended they are told.

Kier Starmer said the chants were “appalling hate speech”. As compared to his call to cut the electricity and water to Gaza.

The there was Health Secretary Wes Streeting , who said

"irony of that music festival is that Israelis were taken from a music festival, killed, raped and in some cases are still being held captive".

Typical western politician conflating two totally unrelated issues to try and hang onto an iota of victimhood on behalf of his Zionist masters.

"Whether you are Israeli or Palestinian, whether you are Christian, Jewish or Muslim, all life is precious and we're not going to solve one of the most intractable conflicts on earth with those sorts of stunts,"

Apparently Wes now not only speaks for the NHS but also all religions and all peoples on this matter, like an omnipresent Zionist mouth piece.

Wes then tried to redeem himself suggesting Israel needs sort its act out in the West Bank, ignoring the plight of the people of Gaza.

But Why?

Why would a random music artist decide to say these words on stage at Glastonbury.

Its a pertinent question just like why there were attacks such as 7/7.

Then the British government ignored the cries of “it’s foreign policy stupid”.

Now the statements by Starmer , Streeting and co do the very same. They ignore the frustration, anger and horror at the actions of the IDF in Gaza.

The UK government would do well to remember that the IDF was formed by amalgamating various paramilitary groups which took apart in atrocities during the Nakba. These included Irgun and Stern Gang, which both targeted British interests and British politicians, think King David Hotel Bombing (1946) and Lord Moyne Assassination (1944). These are just two examples out of dozens.

For the last 20 months the IDF has live streamed, Tik Tok danced and laughed its way to committing a genocide.

Maybe Bob Vanyce chanting “Death Death to the IDF” has more to do with the IDF than it does with any hate speech.

Maybe is has something to do with the fact that only a few days before the chants the Israeli Haaretz newspaper exposed the IDF’s complicity in the massacre of Palestinian civilians waiting for food aid provided by Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).

Soldiers were quoted as saying

“We fired machineguns from tanks and threw grenades,” one soldier told Haaretz. “There was one incident where a group of civilians was hit while advancing under the cover of fog.”

In another instance, a soldier said that where they were stationed in Gaza, between “one and five people were killed every day”.

“It’s a killing field,” that soldier said.

Maybe the Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Defence Minister Israel Katz condemning the report, calling it a “blood libel”, has something to do with it.

Such carefully chosen words “Blood libel” refers to the way medieval Europeans used to falsely accuse Jews of murdering Christian children in blood sacrifices . Zionists never accepting their fault, always playing the victim.

Maybe it has something to do with the food aid when given out is laced with Opioids.

“We have so far documented four testimonies from citizens who found these pills inside the flour bags,” it said in a statement, warning of the “possibility that some of these narcotic substances were deliberately ground or dissolved in the flour itself”.

Its been said now - shout it out loud, remember it in your hearts or recite in your prayers - what you can’t do is ignore the why.
