One day’s life of a lion is preferable to hundred years of a jackal

After nearly two years of murder, starvation and genocide, the people of Gaza and Hamas have once again been offered an olive branch by the war criminal Netanyahu and the man bankrolling his genocide, Donald Trump. The twenty-point peace plan is as much a peace plan as holding a gun to someone’s head whilst you disembowel them and aplogising at the same time.
It is telling that no one from Hamas, no Palestinian, no Muslim, no independent international observer (if such exist) was present when this plan was drawn up. It is like Sykes-Picot all over again.
Who said colonialism was dead?
Only last week, Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, reiterated his decision to put Donald Trump forward for the Nobel Peace Prize. With the words of a second-rate politician like Sharif still ringing in his ears, Trump it seems believes the delusion that he is a peacemaker, regarding the twenty-point plan as an ingenious proposal to finally end seventy-plus years of Zionist slaughter.
The plan broadly calls for:
Hamas to disarm and disband, never to be seen again, with their weapons destroyed. Any Hamas fighters wishing to leave will be allowed to do so, and an amnesty will be given to those who disband.
Hamas must release all the hostages, dead or alive, and once they have done so the Zionists will release a set number of Palestinian prisoners, including some women and children (but not all women and children).
The day-to-day running of Gaza will be handed over to a “technocratic, apolitical Palestinian committee”. A “Board of Peace” headed by Donald Trump and Tony “dodgy dossier” Blair will have oversight.
Aid will be allowed into the Gaza Strip only once the agreement has been accepted and at levels proposed in the January 2025 proposals.
The Zionists will incrementally retreat from Gaza whilst leaving a buffer zone between them and Gaza . To be replaced by an International Stabilization Force (ISF) made up of regional and international armies.
A Trump economic development plan to ‘rebuild and energise Gaza’ will be created along with special tariff zones, international and regional investment will be brought in to help rebuild Gaza.
An interfaith dialogue process will be established based on the values of tolerance and peaceful co-existence to try and change mindsets and narratives of Palestinians and Israelis by emphasizing the benefits that can be derived from peace.
The United States will establish a dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians to agree on a political horizon for peaceful and prosperous co-existence.
A credible pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood, which we recognize as the aspiration of the Palestinian people, only if conditions are right.
Without even going into the details of the plan, a simple question comes to mind:
“Would you trust these men?”
The likes of Trump, Netanyahu and Blair. All three are war criminals, directly and indirectly responsible for the murder of innocent Muslims in Iraq, Afghanistan and Gaza. All three of them have been proven liars. Their political promises are rarely kept. Their prime motivation has always been personal and national interest.
Allowing these men to lead efforts for peace is akin to asking Jeffrey Epstein to arrange the Girl Scouts’ yearly field trip to some remote island where they can help rich old men with their day-to-day chores.
Tony Blair lied about Iraq’s WMD, lied about the forty-five minutes it would take Saddam to hit the UK with non-existent WMD. He led his nation to war, sending young British men to die in the desert to fulfil the interests of multinational companies. He was responsible for murdering, maiming and dropping depleted uranium bombs on Iraq, leading to birth defects for decades to come.
The economics of this plan are no different. The so-called rebuilding and investment proposals are designed to line the pockets of western companies and western governments, not to serve the people of Gaza. Contracts for construction, energy and infrastructure will be handed to multinational corporations who will extract profit while the Palestinians remain trapped in dependency. Far from rebuilding Gaza for its people, the plan will transform it into a marketplace for foreign interests, ensuring that the true beneficiaries are those who have supported and armed the Zionist entity all along.
Any multinational military force, such as the ISF, deployed to Gaza will always be under American oversight and control. The only reason to involve the Arab states would be to reduce the visible US footprint and to give the semblance of a non-partisan force.
The idea that starving children should only be fed once Hamas accept the proposal says much about the inhumane arrogant barbarity of both Trump and Netanyahu.
What happened to justice?
What the proposed plan ignores, and what the western world and especially its politicians fail to see, is that the Palestinians do not want to live in semi-luxury apartment blocks which will be put up to replace their homes in Gaza.
They do not want special tariff-based economic zones to be controlled by western governments and exploited by multinationals.
They do not want the regional Arab rulers who have abandoned them and watched them be starved to death to be part of any solution. Sending in troops to act as policemen for American and Zionist policy, where were these same soldiers which children were being killed ?
They do not want to simply lay down their arms and live on their knees for the rest of their lives, constantly worried that any level of transgression will be used as an excuse by the Zionists to attack them once again.
The Palestinians do not need interfaith dialogue when their issue is not about faith but about justice and land that has been seized since 1948. Those proposing the peace plan are the ones who have a problem with Muslims and not the other way around.
They do not want the current Palestinian Authority, which has abandoned their cause, to be part of some ill-defined set of goals that must be reached before they are given “statehood”. A statehood which will mean nothing other than recognition for the Zionist entity to exist.
Even now Netanyahu says he did not agree to Palestinian state as part of Trump Gaza plan, and IDF will remain ‘in most of territory’. So the lies continue.
What the Palestinians want, and what this plan fails to deliver to them is dignity, freedom and justice.
The dignity and freedom to live as they choose on their own land, and the justice of having those who carried out the current genocide being held to account and whole of Palestine that was stolen from them in 1948 returned.
This can only be achieved when the Muslim world wakes up, stops making false alliances, and sends troops into Gaza and all of Palestine to liberate it from occupation.
That is a peace plan the world could support. What has been proposed by Trump is nothing more than his bid to win the Nobel Prize and to deflect international pressure for supporting a genocidal entity in the murder of children.
