Muslims of the world await a response from Pakistan
The people of Pakistan and Muslims of the world await a proper response from Pakistan.
There is a word in Urdu / Punjabi باس (Bas), depending on the context it is used it can mean a number of things.
It can mean enough or stop if you want someone to stop doing something.
It can mean finished if you are doing something.
If it is used with a curved hand gesture (a very Pakistani thing) باس (Bas) means “is that it”.
I can imagine Narendra Modi sat somewhere in India doing the latter with a little head wobble looking at Pakistan and thinking is that all you have got.
Even my 84 year old father, bed bound, old age catching up with him fast was disappointed last night with the response by Pakistan.
The wall to wall Pakistani news coverage keeps proclaiming the military might of Pakistan naming every missile under the sun the military has; boasting about Donald Trump’s offer to settle the dispute, as if that is something to be proud of. Have they forgotten the surrender by Nawaz Sharif at Kargil ordered by the Americans.
Last night Shahbaz Sharif said that shooting down the Indian planes was answer enough. Cowardice runs in the family it seems.
Enough for the murder of children, although he didn’t do much for the thousands of dead Gazan children so not surprising.
India has continued to attack Pakistan using Israeli supplied drones which have been shot down, they have hit civilian targets including a Cricket stadium in Rawalpindi (not a military or terrorist target).
They have been spreading fake news of attacks in Jammu and false news of Lahore being evacuated, the fog of war is thick.
What is clear is that the world awaits an answer from Pakistan, an answer to maintain the honour of the Muslims.
After the genocide in Gaza, Pakistan does not need to appease global public opinion of being the good guy. There are no more good guys and bad guys, international law is dead.
Pakistan has failed the people of Palestine, it can rescue some dignity by not failing their own and the people of Kashmir.
If the rulers of Pakistan are too afraid to take the next step they should be pushed aside and someone else should take the reins of power. So they can do their Islamic duty to liberate Kashmir. End this nonsense once and for all.
The alternative is to be humiliated once again satisfied with shooting down a few planes and drones.
